wellness initiatives in the Wellness Think Tank

Wellness Initiatives in EM Residency Programs:
A centralized, crowdsourced database

Residency programs continue to strategize and pilot initiatives and strategies to improve resident well-being, however there is limited sharing of lessons learned and building on previous ideas. These siloed efforts delay what actual progress could be made on improving resident wellness and resiliency. The Wellness Think Tank thus started an online centralized, crowdsourced database of wellness initiatives. The goal is to have residency programs share their innovations and lessons learned so that we can learn from the collective community. Ideas beget more ideas.

After browsing the following database, please contribute to this repository. Our collective knowledge is only as strong as the contributors who take the time to add their reflections and insights.

Database of Residency Wellness Initiatives

You can sort and filter the table to more rapidly identify the innovations that you are interested in. You can also download the table for your own use. The data elements that we display include the following:

  • Name of wellness initiative
  • General category
  • Detailed description of initiative
  • Child-friendly event – Select the box if children can participate in the event.
  • Resources needed from the perspective of cost, time, space, and special skills needed
  • Lessons learned, tips, and advice
  • Name of residency program
  • Date of submission

Contributor Form

Please fill out this form as completely as possible. We also ask for your email and name, but that will NOT appear in the above table. This is so that we can confirm your affiliation with the residency program to ensure legitimate submissions. [Full-page submission form view]
