2015-2016 ALiEM Social Media and Digital FellowsIt is with great pleasure that announce our 2015-2016 ALiEM Fellows for Social Media and Digital Scholarship: Dr. Alissa Mussell from West Virginia University Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Dr. Matthew Klein from Northwestern University Emergency Medicine Residency Program. That’s right, we selected two applicants! The competition was very strong, but we felt that our growth at ALiEM has been so tremendous since we launched in 2009, and most especially in the last year that we could foster the mentoring and development of both of these stellar candidates.

Dr. Alissa Mussell is an EM resident with a strong background in wilderness medicine and ultrasound. She is also quite familiar with the ALiEM AIR series. But most of all, she has the enthusiasm to help take ALiEM into new directions.

Dr. Matthew Klein (@MKleinMD) is an EM resident who is no doubt going to be a future leader in medical education based upon his experiences. He already has innovative ideas of taking the popular How I Work Smarter Series to new horizons. We are excited to have him join our team as well.

As exciting as the news about Alissa and Matthew, we are also sad to have to turn down the others. If it were possible possible, we would have brought ALL of them on our team as they were all extremely promising. We hope to collaborate closely in the future.

Please help us in welcoming Alissa and Matthew to our ALiEM team!
