The 2014 year has been amazing. As 2015 approaches, the ALiEM team has gotten quite reflective and thankful for the past amazing 12 months. I am Dr. Mike Stone, Division Chief of Emergency Ultrasound at Brigham & Women’s: How I Work Smarter

Dr. Mike Stone (@BedsideSono) is well known in the medical education world especially in the field of bedside ultrasonography. In addition to being a professor for the Ultrasound Leadership Academy and Ultrasound Podcast team member, he also runs the Emergency Ultrasound Division at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Like Dr. Mike Mallin who tagged him from a previous How I Work Smarter post, many of us have been amazed at Mike’s ability to juggle so many roles and responsibilities at once. Dr. Michael Bond (@DocBond007), who has probably one of the coolest Twitter handles, is a well-respected and well-established educator in the field of Emergency Medicine (EM). I am Oliver Flower, an Intensive Care Specialist: How I Work Smarter

In the world of medical education and Twitter, Dr. Oliver Flower (@OliFlower) is a virtual celebrity. Oli has been a central figure in FOAM and serves the daunting role of being a co-organiser for the upcoming buzz-worthy SMACC conference in Chicago (June 23-26, 2015) alongside Roger Harris and Chris Nickson. He is incredibly efficient and effective, juggling multiple deadlines and responsibilities. It was no surprise to us when Oli was tagged by Dr. Rob Mac Sweeney from a previous How I Work Smarter post as someone whom we could learn a lot from. ALiEM-Annals of EM Journal Club: Spontaneous pneumothorax, pigtail catheters, and outpatient management

We are very excited this month to bring you another installment of the ALiEM-Annals of EM Global Journal Club. I am Rob Rogers, Course Director for The Teaching Course & Innovative Educator: How I Work Smarter

I have known thought-leader and star speaker Dr. Rob Rogers from the University of Maryland for many years now as we have often crossed paths on the national lecture circuits. He has launched many successful innovative educational endeavors such as the EM:RAP Educators Edition podcast series (way before podcasts were cool). Now Rob is leading the charge as the Course Director for The Teaching Course, a premiere conference to mentor today’s and tomorrow’s leaders in medical education.
